Goal for 5-Week Challenge?
Short term goal was to loose 10lbs I gained since a shoulder surgery 2 years ago. No matter how hard I tried I couldn’t seem to lose the weight. My long term goal was to feel healthy and strong again.
Results from 5-Week Challenge (weight lost, muscle gained, ?
I lost 7lbs and 2% body fat. I loved the results so much that I didn’t want to end this journey there so I signed up for another 5 weeks . Totaling 10lbs lost.
Weight loss wasn’t the only benefit. I started sleeping through the night and feeling rested in the morning, which I hadn’t felt in years. I also struggled with social anxiety / nervousness and I noticed that had subsided tremendously I notice I am more outgoing and not afraid to talk to people like I was in the past.
What was the biggest take-way from the challenge for you?
It seems I learn something new every day, however if I were to pick one thing as my biggest take away it would be undereating is not the solution to weight loss. Within the first 2 weeks of starting my lifestyle nutrition, it was apparent to me how little I was eating. I have always strived to be fit and physically active and thought I knew how to balance my diet with training. Feeling desperate to lose some extra fluff I fell into a trap of thinking eating less would get the results I desired. When the scale wouldn’t reflect my efforts I would cut my calories even more, only to spiral out of control for way too long. Meeting Becca and joining this program helped repair my metabolism, body, mind and soul. I eat much more now while leaning out at the same time.
What would you say to someone thinking about doing the challenge?
There is so much information on diets and weight management out there that it can get very confusing on what’s truly the best method to follow. Having a professional like Becca to work with, who takes the guess work out of figuring out the right balance, is very helpful to jump start the journey. You learn so much in just as little as 5 weeks that it’s impossible not to see results. Becca goes the extra mile and will even help guide you through challenging events like traveling for work, holidays or just eating out at a restaurant. It literally takes the stress out of feeling like you will sabotage any progress made. This challenge has been exactly what I needed and I am confident that anyone joining would feel the same way.
